Why we're building this

Your neighbourhood is for everyday things too — not just emergencies.

A few years ago, someone needed blood urgently. A matching donor lived close enough to walk over. Neither one had any way of knowing the other existed. That moment is what got Yaybour started.

But most days, it's smaller than that: a reliable plumber, a spare ladder, a maths tutor for your daughter, a parenting group two lanes over. The exact help you need is usually close enough to reach — and completely invisible to you.

Yaybour exists to close that gap, every day — not just the rare emergency. Not with another feed to scroll, but a network that actually knows who's near you, and what they can do.

Founder & CEO

Before this, I spent time at Godrej Properties working on strategic initiatives, sitting close to how real estate and communities actually function in urban India. Alongside that, I've worked in workforce operations and technology, which gave me a practical, on-ground view of how people and systems connect (or don't) in dense urban settings. I also hold an MBA from IIFT.

What struck me across both experiences was the same gap: our neighbourhoods have never been more crowded, yet somehow less connected.

Yaybour is our attempt to fix that, built to genuinely connect residents, local businesses, and interest groups, without turning into another noisy chat group.

The mission is deeply personal — I'm a neighbour too, and this is a problem I want solved in my own backyard before anyone else's.

Come be part of the neighbourhood.

Before you ask

A few honest answers

Will my exact address be visible to other neighbours?+
No. Your radius is used to match you to the right groups and asks — your exact address is never shown to other users.
How is this different from a building WhatsApp group?+
WhatsApp groups are per-building and unsearchable once a message scrolls past. Yaybour organises your whole neighbourhood — not just one building — so asks and offers don't get lost.
How are businesses verified?+
Through DigiLocker, so business owner identity is confirmed through an official, government-backed channel — not just a self-declared listing.
When does Yaybour launch in my city?+
We're launching in Mumbai real soon. Other cities to follow.
Can a stranger reach out to me one-on-one on the app?+
No. We don't allow unsolicited one-to-one messaging between neighbours. Every interaction happens through groups and public requests, so no one you don't know can slide into your messages directly — your privacy comes first.
